A seris of black and white ink drawings of UK landscapes.
Lilies and a rose at Joys
(Acrylic)
Joy is my mother in law and she had these on her table. I thought I would do the painting and then give it to her so she could hang it on her wall.
Narcissi by the window
(Acrylic)
The composition with the jar and the shadows thrown by the light from the window attracted me to this.
Droopy Hyacinths
(Oil)
I loved having a go at the complicated pattern of the flowers. I just happened to have a book on Monet on the table and I thought was appropriate.
Bread tin, banana and apple
(Acrylic)
I used to do some art classes at Joy’s care home. Then I went on to do some live painting so the residents could watch me do it. This was one of the paintings I did in front of them. They generally took about an hour to do.
Chrysanthemums
(Watercolour)
I liked the delicacy of these and the silhouette. They made good practice.
